Bayview Vacation Apartments was started in 1990 by husband and wife Gafford and Nora Potter. Gafford had worked as a contracted taxi driver for larger hotels on Virgin Gorda such as The Bitter End Yacht Club and Biras Creek Resort. While Nora worked at the local post office on Virgin Gorda. Both experienced in customer service and an eye in an early Virgin Gorda Tourism market lead them to believed that an accommodation once kept clean and in a beautiful setting would attract tourist for years to come.

The design of the building incorporated huge spaces, nice views, peace and quiet. Over the years they welcomed visitor from all over the world mailing brochures out weekly. The property is renovated yearly in the off-season to bring a new and modern and clean look. Today you can still find both of them in the garden of Bayview cutting flowers for your room.
